Hi. I'm Alli and this is HELM.

she/her

I started HELM with the idea that anyone can take control of what they want in their own life and they should have a fitness program that helps that. I believe that people can greatly benefit from having an individually designed program because, well, every person is different. All with unique physical abilities, goals, and lifestyle dreams.

I've personally gone from being a competitive goalkeeper, to having weight loss goals, dealing with recurring injuries, training for strongman, and now a focus on mountaineering, adventuring & longevity. Goals change, passions change, priorities change, needs change.

At HELM, we empower people to live more full, 'yes'-filled lives through strength and fitness. We will work with you to find the best blend for your life and build a program to aid and enhance just that. If you like long hikes or the occasional group class, we will work that in. If you feel like training is a chore, we will work to help you appreciate the movement you're capable of doing. Whatever your goals are, we'll help you get there.

Proudly woman and LGBTQ+ owned.

Get To Know Me:

⇸ I don’t want to be limited by what my body can or, more specifically, can’t do. That’s what drives me to train.
⇸ I’m passionate about providing a service in Cincinnati for LGBTQ+ and all people to come, train, and feel welcome to pursue any and all of their fitness goals.
⇸ I believe a coach’s job isn’t just to tell you what to do but educate and empower you to do it (and more) as well.
⇸ One of my favorite parts of being a trainer is when people begin to see the results and implement things they’ve learned outside of the gym. When someone comes back to me and expresses how their improved strength helped them do some rad adventure or similar - that is the best.
⇸ I summited Mt. Hood in May 2023! It was supposed to happen in 2022 but a storm prevented a summit attempt… it’s okay, though, because I proposed the next day (she said yes)!
⇸ My wife and I have a 5yo German Shepherd named Atlas - he is our greatest adventure buddy! We both would do absolutely anything for him. And, believe it or not, one of his favorite things to do is run on our treadmill at home. Talk about fitness goals!
⇸ Travel is a huge pursuit of mine and it’s helped me grow in more ways than I can count. I’ve visited 26 countries and my bucket list location is Antarctica! The country I keep going back to, though, is always Iceland! Can you tell I like those winter destinations?
⇸ One of my biggest pet peeves is misaligned escalator handrail speeds. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, pay attention to the speed of the handrail on an escalator vs the speed of the escalator itself next time.
⇸ I love dad jokes and puns. If you train with me, prepare yourself.
⇸ I’m big into tattoos. I have 10 and will definitely continue to get more.
⇸ I wouldn’t describe myself as a gamer but I have consistently kept up with Pokemon releases since I was a kid. From Red all the way up to Violet, I’ve bought and played every generation.
⇸ I’ve never been a great runner - even when I played soccer. So much so that I actually have noticed some resentment towards it too. As endurance sports have peaked my interest as of late (see mountaineering), it’s been a great challenge for me.
