What Is It?

Last year we put on a Lifestyle Challenge for our clients. It was very laid back and focused on building daily, health-promoting habits throughout the 30 days. This year, we wanted to iterate on that and raise the stakes.

​

This 6-week challenge will continue to focus on building these behaviors with intention in these four pillars: movement, nutrition, mindset, and community. I believe these four things contribute heavily to our overall health & wellness, so we're introducing the new & improved challenge.

​

It's NOT about who can lost the most or gain the most. Everyone's goals are different. This is about sticking to them for an extended period of time, refining and building sustainable healthy habits, and experiencing what happens when you commit to a goal.

EVERY DAY I’ll send you Daily Movement ideas, a Daily Journal Prompt, a daily motivational quote, and Weekly Challenge ideas.

 

EACH WEEK you’ll receive access to your training and I will hold a Zoom call for added accountability and to go over one educational piece. This will likely be dictated by anyone in the challenge! The weekly calls aren’t mandatory (except for the Kick-Off, Mid-Challenge, and End call)but can be great sources of extra accountability and to ask for any help you might need!

The Challenge

So what exactly do you need to do? Over the course of the 6 weeks there will be 11 tasks for you to complete. Some will be daily, some weekly, and some are one-off tasks.

 

Daily:

  • 8,000 Steps

  • 15-min Movement (outside of walking - every day I will provide ideas and options for this in the app!)

  • Read 5-10 pages OR Journal 5-10 Minutes (I will provide a list of books to choose from and a daily journal prompt for you to use!)

  • Follow Nutrition Plan (we will meet/hop on a video call ahead of the challenge to go over what that looks like for you based on your goals, skills, and where you’re currently at)

  • Submit Adherence Form by 11:59PM each night

 

Weekly:

  • 2x+ Strength Sessions (included in the training)

  • 1x+ Intentional Cardio (included in the training)

  • No more than 1 meal out.

  • 2x Community Engagement - support others, ask questions, complete challenges.

 

One-Off (these must be done to remain eligible to win!):

  • Start & end INBODY scans*

  • Attend kick-off, mid-challenge, and end calls.

*What is an INBODY scan? This is a body composition analysis for us to see at the beginning and end of the challenge. Think of it as extra data and drive to stick with it! For those local to Cincinnati, they will be completed at UC. For those outside of the Cincinnati area, I will work with you to help you get those booked and cover the expenses.

We would love to offer all of this for free, where people put their time and money often shows their priorities and we want to make sure everyone is fully committed. Plus, we gotta cover the Inbodys!

We get it, you probably still have some questions - that's totally fine! Here are a few commonly asked questions about the challenge. If you don't find your answer here, feel free to reach out.

IS THIS CHALLENGE IN-PERSON OR ONLINE?

This challenge is done completely virtual so you can complete it anywhere in the world! Everything is accessible through our private training app, which you can download from the app store, and our calls will be held via Zoom. The only element you will need to complete in a physical location are the Inbody scans, which we can help organize.

WHAT IF I HAVE MY OWN TRAINING PLAN?

We don't mind that at all. We provide the 6-week plans for everyone so they have structured program that follows basic progressive overload principles. However, if you have a plan that you enjoy and follow, by all means that is cool with us as long as it satisfies the 2x strength training sessions and 1x intentional cardio sessions each week.

HOW WILL THE TRAINING WORK?

Inside of our app, you will all be provided with your 6-week plan. These will have demos for all movements and you will be able to track your progress as well. You can complete these at whatever gym you have access to, wherever you want. If you have any questions or concerns, just ask in the group!

If you are a current client, your training will be delivered as typical.

HOW WILL THE NUTRITION PLAN WORK?

There will be some overlap for each of you to try to follow, but this is going to be different for everyone. It would be really easy to just assign everyone a set of macros or a meal plan and be on our way. It really would. But it would also be ignoring the skills and educational element to someone's nutrition. Plus, because I'm not an RD, I legally cannot provide meal plans.

 

To be honest, that wouldn't work for everyone anyways. For every single person who signs up, I will have a quick call to get a better idea of where you are at from a nutrition and skills perspective. Using that, we'll come up together with a plan that will help you to foster better and health-promoting nutritional habits that accommodate your goals. For some this might look like specific nutrition behaviors. For others it could be macro-based. It depends on you.

We will go over more details in our individual calls and the kick-off calls.

WHAT IF I HAVE TO TRAVEL?

Our habits are only as good as they are on the days when our schedules aren't perfect. If you have to travel, that's totally fine. The challenge will remain the same and we will work with you to help you handle the change as much as you can. Just ask for help and we'll provide as much as we can!

DO I HAVE TO DO EVERYTHING?

You're all adults. You don't have to do anything, if you don't want to. But, if you want to win the challenge, we want you to try to complete every element of it. Try to think about your longer-term goals and remember, it's only 6 weeks :)

WHAT IS THE REFUND POLICY?

Because this is a digital challenge and we are covering Inbody expenses, we cannot offer refunds.
